Your Chicken Enemy has kind words for Jernegan

A favorable review of "The Jernegan Solution" on the blog Your Chicken Enemy. This is a nice way to discover a new indie-comics-review site:

"Mazur’s research and attention to detail in his art bring the story to life, placing the reader in this specific time and place. For those with a passion for this time period, it tickles that historical curiosity perfectly. Mazur has infused this story with heart, even though its subject matter opens up much darker territory."

Glynnis Fawkes essay by Rob Clough

Rob Clough's invaluable and irrepleaceable blog on independent comics features an essay on the wonderful work of Glynnis Fawkes.  Fawkes (who Ninth Art Press proudly published in SubCultures and The Greatest of All Time), is a cartoonist that everyone should read! Her work includes autobiographical subject -- notably motherhood, her comics about raising children are wonderful -- and classical/mythological themes (Fawkes is an archeological artist as well as cartoonist).  Whatever the topic, her work is a joy.

From Clough's essay: "Her loose line ... allows her to capture essential details of each subject, especially with regard to to how they move in space and interact with their environment."
